It was a $54.00 dealer installed option. It included a "SS" emblems, padded dash spinner wheel covers, power steering, power brakes and a 7000 RPM tach.

A 283 cubic inch v-8 was standard but two V-8's were available at prices in the $344 to $500 range. One was a Turbo-Thrust 348 that came in 340 horsepower with a four barrel carburetor or a 350 horsepower with three two barrel carburetor. A 409 cubic inch Turbo-Fire V-8 came in 360 horsepower with a four barrel carburetor or a 380 horsepower with three two barrel carburetor. A four speed close ratio transmission was $188.00 extra.
